Swift discovered a love for music from a young age and she progressed quickly through roles in the children's theater to her first appearance before a crowd of thousands. Swift was just 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball game. The following year, she began writing songs and got a guitar. Swift, who took her inspirations from Shania Twain's music and that of her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of country music, wrote the songs of her own to convey the feeling of being alienated. Swift left Pennsylvania along with her parents and moved to Tennessee, Hendersonville. she was 13 years old to dedicate her time in contacting label representatives from the country genre.
